As Jannik Sinner came out victorious at the US Open, top journalist Paul Bertolucci heaped massive praise on him by comparing his game to the Big 4 – Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Andy Murray. Sinner lifted his second Grand Slam title with a straight-set win over Taylor Fritz.

Sinner won his first major trophy at the Australian Open this year and then went on to win four more titles on the ATP Tour before coming out on top of Fritz in the US Open final. As Sinner has been producing consistent performances, Bertolucci recognized the traits of the Big 4 in Sinner and thinks he will be considered a part of the Fab Five in the future.

Maybe in twenty years, with his career over and hopefully with many Slam trophies in the cabinet, when talking about Jannik Sinner we will refer to him as the Fab Five, underlining his closeness, technique and values to Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray, phenomena of a golden and in some respects unrepeatable generation.
Paul Bertolucci wrote in his column for Gazzetta.it

Bertolucci also said that Sinner has Nadal’s ‘coolness’, Djokovic’s ‘backhand’, Federer’s ‘charm’, and Murray’s ‘force’. Federer retired in 2022 after winning 20 Grand Slams, while Murray recently bid farewell after the Paris Olympics. 22-time major champion Nadal has been dealing with form and fitness issues, while Djokovic, who has 24 Grand Slams, has no plans of hanging up his racket in the near future.

Feliciano Lopez predicts how many Grand Slams Jannik Sinner will win

As Jannik Sinner clinched his second Grand Slam at the age of 23, the tennis community started discussing how many more the Italian would win before his retirement. Former Spanish player Feliciano Lopez predicted that Sinner may win 12 Slams while his rival Carlos Alcaraz will lift 14 of them.

I think double-digits as well, for both of them. I'm going to say 12 for Sinner, and 14 for Alcaraz. For [Daniil] Medvedev, Stefanos Tsitsipas and any other contenders in the middle, they've been very unlucky because in the early days, it was Novak, Roger, Rafa, and now Sinner and Alcaraz have come out.
Feliciano Lopez told Sky Sports

Alcaraz is a winner of four Grand Slams at 21. He won his first at the 2022 US Open, followed by his victory at the 2023 Wimbledon. He lifted his next two trophies the next year, at the French Open and Wimbledon.
