WWE’s biggest event of the year has finally concluded. The event took place over two nights at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida. The first night was headlined by the thunderstorm, but the second night surprised with 3 Championship changes.

But one thing that both the nights had in common, were entertaining and action-packed matches. Over the two nights, 5 titles changed hands and brought with them some interesting stats.

#5 Sasha Banks sets a new Wrestlemania record

Sasha Banks became the first and only person born in the 90’s to main event a Wrestlemania. Banks and Belair also made history when they became the first two women to main event Wrestlemania in a singles match, Banks was able to a step further with this record.

Banks was born in 1992 and is 29 years old, while her opponent, Bianca Belair was born in 1989. The match between the two was one of the stand out moments of the night, where Bianca Belair won her first-ever WWE title.

#4 Randy Orton became the first man in WWE to defeat Bray Wyatt twice at Wrestlemania

The match at Wrestlemania 37 was the 14-time WWE World Champion’s 17^th Wrestlemania appearance and also the second against Wyatt at Mania. The last time they met, Orton defeated Wyatt to become the WWE Champion. 

Interestingly, Orton hadn’t won a Wrestlemania match since his win against Wyatt and last night’s victory ended his three-year losing streak. Orton is now just the second man to pin The Fiend, after Goldberg. He also became the first man to defeat Wyatt and his alter-ego twice at Wrestlemania.

#3 Rhea Ripley made history with her Raw Women’s Championship win

Rhea Ripley became the only women in WWE history to have held the NXT UK Women’s Championship, NXT Women’s Championship and the Raw Women’s Championship. there is no other women in the company at present who has won all the 3 titles.

This was Rhea Ripley’s second Wrestlemania match. She had faced Charlotte Flair last year and lost the NXT Women’s Championship match to her. But this time she managed to defeat Asuka, to win her first main roster title.

#2 Omos wins a title on Wrestlemania debut

Omos made his WWE in-ring debut at Wrestlemania. He teamed up with AJ Styles to defeat The New Day and become the new Raw Tag Team Champions. He became the first wrestler who won a Championship match in his debut, at Wrestlemania.

Nicholas, Carlito, Gail Kim and Santino Marella also won Championship on their debut matches, but none of them have done it at Wrestlemania.

#1 AJ Styles becomes a WWE Grand Slam Champion

AJ Styles won the Raw Tag Team Championship at Wrestlemania to become a WWE Grand Slam Champion. He debuted for the company in 2016, and in just 5 years he has achieved this feat.

Styles has been a solo star for a major part of his career, and only when he saw Omos, he decided to team up. While majority of the fans believe that their match at Mania had no heat and was a complete waste, it did allow Styles to become a Grand Slam Champion.
