Pascal Siakam knocked 27 points and 9 rebounds, while OG Anunoby registered 25 points against his name as Toronto Raptors seized control of the game in the 3rd quarter to beat Brooklyn Nets 114-103 for the 2nd time in the 2020-21 season. After this win the Toronto Raptors have extended their win streak to four.
Talking about the Brooklyn Nets, both Kyrie Irving and Bruce Brown scored double-double. The former scored 28 points and 11 rebounds with missed his triple double by 2 assists. While Bruce Brown added 21 points and 14 rebounds for the Nets, who played without Kevin Durant and James Harden.
Toronto Raptors beat Brooklyn Nets for the 2nd time in 2020-21 season
Playing at close to full strength for the first time in weeks with the return of veteran guards Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors made 13 of 24 shots and outscored the Brooklyn Nets 36-23 in the third quarter. Toronto stormed ahead in the first eight minutes of the second half, hitting seven of its first nine 3-point shots and outscoring the Nets 34-14 to lead 90-72.
The Brooklyn Nets were down by eight early in the fourth quarter when Freddie Gillespie blocked a layup by Joe Harris, igniting a 7-0 run that put the Raptors up 104-89 with 7:37 left.
Kyrie Irving and Bruce Brown helped the Nets cut the gap to 5 with 3:01 left. But they got no closer.
