Trae Young gets revenge on JA Morant by leading Hawks to OT win over Grizzlies

Trae Young scored a staggering 36 points to lead the Atlanta Hawks to an OT victory over Memphis Grizzlies 122-112. In a showdown between the league’s two of the most promising young Point-Guards, Trae Young and JA Morant. It is the former who not only scores more points. But even leads his team to back-to-back wins. Both these concerned players were coming off strong opening games as well with Morant scoring a career high of 44 points against San Antonio Spurs. Whereas Young had 37 points against his name in the victory over Chicago Bulls.
For the Atlanta Hawks, 22-year-old Kevin Huerter played a crucial role, scoring 21 points including 4 from behind the arc. With De’Andre Hunter, Nathan Knight and John Collins scored 15, 14 and 13 points respectively.

Talking about Memphis Grizzlies, their marquee player JA Morant led the charge for them scoring 28. With all their starters also getting decent contribution. The reason that could have affected the result not going into the Grizzlies favor could be that their bench had no significant contribution.
Young scored 10 points in the final 2:40 against the Grizzlies, starting with the eight straight to keep Memphis from overtaking Atlanta.
The young guards carried their teams through the first half, with the Hawks also getting an early burst from Huerter, who had 13 points at the break, hitting all five of his shots.
Having said that, the Hawks would be proud of their marquee young Point-Guard for yet another convincing performance. Next the Hawks play the Detroit Pistons. Whereas the Memphis Grizzlies play one of the most dominant looking teams in the Eastern Conference, Brooklyn Nets.
