Travis Hunter went full Tyreek Hill during his celebration after scoring his first touchdown since returning from injury. Everyone knows that the Colorado Buffaloes’ two-way star is as athletic as anyone can be, but this added a new layer to his already massive charisma.
The crowd inside Folsom Park in Boulder, Colorado had only just settled down after protesting Jimmy Horn Jr.’s overturned touchdown; they got to celebrate another. In the first quarter, quarterback Shedeur Sanders lobbed an accurate pass to a roaming Hunter inside the end zone around the 9:30 minute mark to open the scoring on the night.
Hunter thought of a unique celebration for the occasion. First, he completed a standing backflip and landed perfectly on his feet. Then he kneeled down and struck a pose similar to the iconic Spiderman silhouette, mimicking the famous comic book character’s web-shooting action.

Hunter wasn’t done for the night. Shortly before the halftime whistle, Sanders connected with him once more. This time it was a 34-yard run from the five-star recruit to give Colorado a ten-point lead.

Both teams struggled to retain the ball in the third quarter until Sanders unleashed running back Isaiah Augustave for a seven-yard run inside the Bearcats endzone. The Buffs’ lead increased to 17 points.
However, it was all Cincinnati in the fourth. After Nathan Hawks dispatched a 32-yard field goal, Bearcats quarterback Brendan Sorsby set up Joe Royer for a 6-yard touchdown.

Eventually, the Buffs managed to secure the win after Alejandro Mata scored a field goal from 47 yards with a minute left on the clock. With that victory, Deion Sanders’ team is now 6-2 for the first time since 2016 and is eligible.
Travis Hunter gets one step closer to the Heisman Trophy
Shedeur may be the #1 quarterback in the division, but when Hunter plays, all eyes are usually on him, as he’s one of the two players’ favorites for the Heisman Trophy (the other is Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty).

Hunter continued his scintillating form against Cincinnati as well. He ended the day with 9 receptions for 153 yards and 2 touchdowns on offense. Despite missing one game, the 21-year-old has caught 56 passes for 604 yards and 6 touchdowns.
Hunter is only 117 yards behind his 2023 tally but has one extra touchdown. He will have more opportunities when Colorado plays Texas Tech next week.
