Travis Hunter kept his word to Kai Cenat. After scoring against Texas Tech, the Colorado Buffaloes’ two-way star replicated the latest celebration that the popular Twitch streamer taught him.

With just under two minutes left in the third quarter, Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders found Hunter on third and 19. The young wide receiver then sidestepped a couple of Red Rebels defenders to score a 31-yard touchdown, increasing the Buffaloes’ lead to ten points.

FOX Sports cameras flocked around Hunter, who raised his right hand and started spinning an invisible rope above his helmet. Then he switched to a different gesture. With the help of his invisible rope, Hunter pulled himself forward, which is vividly reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s famous dance steps.

The entire routine was actually part of a celebration that Kai Cenat showed Hunter during a recent collaboration stream on Twitch. Cenat showed Hunter the move, which he quickly picked up and later performed flawlessly after scoring against Texas Tech.

Travis Hunter’s viral celebrations

The fixture against Texas Tech wasn’t the only time Hunter gave a shoutout to one of the world’s famous streaming figures. Previously, he pulled off Cenat’s famous crawl celebration after Colorado defeated Baylor in week 4.

Some even pointed out that Hunter’s Spiderman flip during the Cincinnati game was also inspired by Cenat. Although there’s little proof of its legitimacy.

Hunter even cooked up an original celebration. After scoring a pick-six against UCF, the 21-year-old mimicked the Heisman Trophy to further his cause as the best player in college football.

The Colorado Buffaloes defeated Texas Tech

Deion Sanders’ Colorado proved too hot to handle for Patrick Mahomes former team. Even after debuting the three-time Super Bowl winner’s new sponsored jersey at the game, the Red Rebels failed to replicate his winner’s mentality.

Colorado ended up winning by a 14-point margin. The game ended 41-27, making post-season football eligible for the Buffaloes for the first time since 2016.

Shedeur Sanders once more proved that he should be higher than seventh in the Heisman Trophy odds. He finished the game with 30/43 completed passes for 291 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Additionally, Sanders ran the ball nine times for 16 yards and one score.

It took his season tally to 250 completions for 2882 passing yards, 25 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions. He also had three rushing touchdowns to his name.

Travis Hunter had 9 receptions for 99 yards and 1 score. He is currently the joint favorite to win the Heisman Trophy with Miami quarterback Cam Ward.
