Travis Kelce is a die-hard Chiefs fan and absolutely loves the team he is playing for. His passion was evident during the historic Super Bowl run that the Chiefs went through last season.
The Chiefs TE was highly influential throughout the last season and it was his eccentric partnership with QB Patrick Mahomes that helped them win the iconic Lombardi Trophy.
There was also another player who played an important part in the Chiefs victory and it was OT Orlando Brown. The 26-year old OT joined the Chiefs in 2021, won the NFL Super Bowl with them and has now joined the Bengals in free agency.
The Bengals are considered as arch-rivals to the Chiefs and have defeated them on numerous occasions in the past seasons. Therefore, Kelce was heavily disappointed after finding out about Orlando Brown and the TE let his feelings known on the New Heights podcast with his brother Jason Kelce.
“It hurts. It hurts my soul, man. Hurts my soul. It’s like watching your best friend just turn evil on you,” Travis Kelce said last week on his New Heights podcast. “Obviously I hope that he has an absolute Hall of Fame career. You know what I mean? I wish nothing but the best for OB. He was an unbelievable leader. An unbelievable teammate on and off the field.”
Brown was a quality player for the Chiefs and had a great future in front of him. However, the Chiefs weren’t able to sign him for a long term deal and signed Jawaan Taylor instead.

Travis Kelce believes Orlando Brown has switched to the dark side
Orlando Brown has basically joined the team that are having a great run against the Chiefs. However, the Bengals lost to the Chiefs last season in the AFC championship game.
Travis Kelce completely despises the Orlando Brown move as he believes that the Bengals are their arch-rivals and have defeated them on various occasions. The TE also believes that Brown has gone to the dark side by referencing the Star Wars movie franchise.
“It’s tough man. Obviously, I mean, the past like two years we’ve struggled beating the Bengals,” Kelce said. “So there’s been a lot of like build up in emotion of like, I would say, not necessarily hate but just like dislike towards the Bengals because they keep beating us, and they keep talking about it every time they do. So it’s like, man, to see him go to the dark side, man, it’s an awkward feeling.”
It will be interesting to see Orlando Brown lining up with Joe Burrow instead of Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes this season. Both the Bengals and the Chiefs are considered as Super Bowl contenders for the next season.
