As endearing as the WrestleMania main event between Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns came to be last year, what the fans got a few months ago in Las Vegas was a farce to the vast majority. The common denominator in both cases, Rhodes, was battling John Cena with the Undisputed WWE title on the line. Drew McIntyre has now singled out the worst part about it.

Speaking on Logan Paul‘s IMPAULSIVE podcast, the Scot affirmed that Travis Scott‘s run-in during the tail end of Rhodes vs. Cena ruined the entire main event. ‘The Chosen One’ proceeded on to slam Scott for being “a piece of sh*t.” McIntyre’s comments are making the rounds on social media, with the entire wrestling community backing him up for not holding back on his thoughts.

That six-minute run-in at WrestleMania screwed up our damn main event. Travis Scott is a piece of sh*t.

The only silver lining from the aforementioned showdown was Cena getting his seventeenth world title by ousting ‘The American Nightmare’. However, the fact that it took him an assist from Scott to dispatch Rhodes is something that the fans may never let go of. Moreover, a no-show from The Rock did more damage than good for WWE.

A number of conspiracy theories started floating on the internet explaining The Final Boss’ absence from ‘The Show of Shows’. Some wrestling pundits concluded that there must’ve been a fallout between Triple H and The Rock stemming from creative disagreements. ‘The Great One’, however, explained on Pat McAfee‘s show that he decided to stay away from inserting himself into that ending to keep the spotlight on Cena.

John Cena and Cody Rhodes have a chance to woo the fans at SummerSlam

In less than a couple of weeks time, John Cena will run it back with Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam. The only difference is the reversal of roles between the two, with Rhodes now chasing the world title, unlike when he was defending it at WrestleMania. ‘The Prodigal Son’ won this year’s King of the Ring tournament to earn this distinction. He beat Randy Orton in the finals to get through.

Last week proved that Rhodes has learned from his naivety. On SmackDown, he got into a brawl with Cena that eventually saw the ex-AEW EVP inflict a clubbing blow to the actor’s skull with the WWE title belt. That was something Rhodes hesitated with at WrestleMania and ended up getting low-blowed by ‘The Franchise Player’. But Rhodes has rectified that aspect with a burning desire to take the title off Cena by hook or by crook.

‘The QB1’ forcefully made his foe sign their SummerSlam contract, as Cena had announced that he wouldn’t be available for the show due to a filming commitment. Rhodes frog-splashed Cena through a table and got his initials on the dotted line that had a street fight clause attached to it. Having said that, WWE does seem hellbent on letting these two go at it quite like they couldn’t do in their previous meeting.

Travis Scott might not play a factor in John Cena’s remaining dates anymore

Earlier this year, WWE was said to have major plans for Travis Scott, including his in-ring debut. However, he hasn’t appeared on any of the shows post WrestleMania 41. At one point, reports claimed that he was pegged for something along with John Cena at Money in the Bank. However, those plans fell through as well. So does it mean he wouldn’t be back? It appears like that.

As per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the singer-songwriter never committed to doing stuff in WWE, and his angles were supposedly hinged on handshake agreements. Those in the company allegedly accommodated Scott’s working schedule until it got out of hand for everyone to handle.

WrestleVotes also noted that the Houston-born rapper isn’t said to be a quick learner of the business. All these reasons make it seem like Scott is done for when it comes to having his future mapped out with WWE. If that stays that way, the core wrestling audience couldn’t be more elated.
