Trevor Bauer positive on ‘Yankees Unloaded’ host Gary Sheffield’s offer to join New York Yankees as the team gets plagued with sending players in IL. Bauer took to X (formerly known as Twitter) noting that the team can “hit me up” if they want to win and participate in the playoffs.

Several NY Yankees players have recently hit the IL, with fans fearing if there’ll be any more numbers added to the list. Currently, the team is heavily dependent on Aaron Judge and Juan Soto’s performance as they are both enjoying their monstrous 2024 season.

Even Jazz Chisholm Jr. was a good fit for the team and provided an immediate spark with the win records. Unfortunately, his injury made him go into 10-day IL and is yet to return to the diamond. While Chisholm is pretty confident about his return as soon as his rehab ends, manager Aaron Boone thinks “it might be a little ambitious” to do so practically.

Other than Chisholm, Luis Gil went into 15-day IL with a lower back sprain and has called Will Warren to the lineup. The Yankees are also hoping to get Clarke Schmidt in the rotation by next month. He has been sidelined since May with a right lat strain and is expected to start his rehab in the minor league on Friday.

Yeah if y’all want to win hit me up.

The Yankees’ performance has been inconsistent so far in the season. Amidst the chaos, Gary Sheffield’s suggestion is Bauer is up for a game in pinstripes, hyped up the pitcher’s eagerness to play once again in MLB.

Trevor Bauer believes MLB is blocking him from joining potential teams

In the latest post, Trevor Bauer expressed that he believes Major League Baseball is preventing him from signing deals with teams since his suspension from the big league. Since the 2021 assault case, MLB initially suspended the pitcher from 324 games but later reduced it to 194 upon appeal.

The MLB ruled that Bauer had violated three of the league’s policies on Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy. Since the edict, he’s been out of major league games for three years.

While we believe a longer suspension was warranted, MLB will abide by the neutral arbitrator’s decision, which upholds baseball’s longest-ever active player suspension for sexual assault or domestic violence.

Despite his reinstatement, the former LA Dodgers pitcher commented that it will ultimately be MLB’s decision when and whether he gets to sign with a team from the major leagues. He said, “Well one team told us it’s not their decision, it’s an mlb decision.”

Furthermore, he added that there was another team who indicated he was too pricey for a signup, whereas Bauer himself said that he’d play with the minimum wage. Whether he gets to play on the MLB mound once again still remains a question, but his eagerness to do so is resolute.
