The Denver Nuggets played against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday in the NBA at the Ball Arena. Their star man Nikola Jokic returned to the roster after missing two games due to illness. This had the Nuggets fans excited, as they expected a big game from Jokic. The three time league MVP did not leave them disappointed as he starred against the Nets.

Along with Jokic, his teammate, Russell Westbrook, also had a great night at the Ball Arena. Both dropped triple-doubles on the Nets for the second time this season in the same game. The NBA community was in awe of the star duo. Some fans went to the extent of claiming these two players to be the ‘best duo in the league.’

Nikola Jokic finished with 35 points, 15 assists, and 12 rebounds. Russell Westbrook finished with 25 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists as the Nuggets defeated the Nets 124-105 on Friday night. It was Jokic’s 145th triple-double in his career, whereas Westbrook recorded his 202nd triple-double in his career.

Jokic is in third place with the most NBA triple-doubles in his career, after Westbrook. With 181, Oscar Robertson comes in second. In addition, Jamal Murray missed the second half because of pain in his right knee. The Nuggets once again will be relying on their star duo of Jokic and Westbrook to deliver consistently due to Murray’s fitness issues this season.

Both stars stepped up for their side as they recorded triple-doubles in the same game, leaving NBA fans stunned. Many experts and analysts have been dismissive of the star duo recently, only for them to drop this type of performance at the Ball Arena.
