On January 6, WWE will officially commence its road to WrestleMania 41. During this period, there is always speculation in regards to possible returns and surprises for the grand spectacle. This time, fans are curious about The Rock‘s involvement at the Showcase of Immortals. Amidst the uncertain status and conflicting reports, WWE CCO Triple H broke silence on The Rock and his potential return.
While speaking with Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, The Game asserted that the Hollywood star had the right to do whatever he pleases. Triple H added that his former rival was the biggest box office draw in the business. Although he neither confirmed nor denied his involvement for WrestleMania XL, The Game revealed that The Rock has always been collaborative with both him and Nick Khan.
He’s super collaborative with me and super collaborative with Nick on what we want to do, contrary to what a lot of people think. Time will tell. I don’t want to give anything away, but I do believe that as moments appear here that are huge game-changing moments, he’s a game-changer.

A few months ago, The Final Boss returned at Bad Blood to stare down Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. However, WWE did not mention this on its programming in the aftermath. Later, Fightful reported that the creative team had been informed to plan for the WrestleMania card under the impression that The People’s Champion wouldn’t show up.
If The Rock does decide to compete, it would be to continue his personal rivalry with Rhodes. On the Raw after WrestleMania XL, the legend vowed to come after The American Nightmare. At the moment, the latter is reportedly penciled in to face John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship. These plans could easily change, especially if the TKO board member is available for WrestleMania season.
What are the other reported matches for WrestleMania 41?
With Cody Rhodes in a prime position to face either The Rock or John Cena, fans are wondering what the other top stars’ plans are. Weeks ago, Fightful disclosed that talks were ongoing for Roman Reigns to face CM Punk at the event. This could have something to do with the favor that Paul Heyman owes Punk.

Another match that has emerged as a possibility is Gunther defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Seth Rollins. This would mark their first encounter since November 2019. On the women’s side of things, Rhea Ripley has been rumored to face IYO SKY at WrestleMania.
If Ripley wins back the World Title on Monday, she could defend the championship against the Damage CTRL member. Elsewhere, Charlotte Flair is set to compete in a top championship match in April. As per fan speculation and reports, Flair might be soon returning to feud with Tiffany Stratton for the Women’s Championship.
