The latest episode of Raw featured a main event Women’s World Title match between two of the biggest female stars, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY. As expected, the two put on a clinic, bringing the best out of each other. Not only was the WWE Universe invested in this clash, but the women’s division had their eyes glued to the screen. In fact, Triple H allowed a major backstage rule to be bent just for this bout only.

While speaking with The Toronto Sun, Natalya revealed that the Raw female locker room watched the main event in Gorilla. According to Nattie, only a select number of people are allowed in that area. However, for one night only, they were able to witness the enthralling bout from Gorilla position.

All of us backstage were watching the match—we actually watched it from Gorilla. That’s the place you go right before you walk through the curtain. It’s usually off-limits unless you’re about to go out, but Triple H knew how excited we were to see IYO vs. Rhea.

Natalya added that everyone backstage was happy for SKY following her shocking title win. Even Triple H couldn’t hide his emotion as he looked elated for the Damage CTRL member. Moreover, the WWE CCO emphasized that it was a “deserved” victory for her.

While SKY did earn a win over Ripley, some might argue it came under dubious circumstances. During the closing stage of the match, The Eradicator got into a scuffle with #1 contender, Bianca Belair, at ringside. Ripley was not pleased with the EST expressing her support for SKY. Nonetheless, this led to SKY reversing a top rope Riptide attempt into a Hurricanrana followed by a Moonsault.

With that win, IYO SKY is now a Grand Slam Champion in both WWE and Stardom. Furthermore, she’ll be heading into WrestleMania as a world champion for a second year in a row. This time, the Genius of the Sky will meet Belair at the Showcase of Immortals.

Triple threat women’s match reportedly planned for WrestleMania after shocking title win on Raw

Following IYO SKY’s title win on Raw, WWE confirmed that she would face Bianca Belair at WrestleMania. Days later, WrestleVotes reported that this would likely change in the coming weeks. Furthermore, plans are for Rhea Ripley to enter the fray, turning this into a triple threat title match in Las Vegas.

After losing her title in bizarre fashion, Ripley cut an emotional promo backstage. The Eradicator admitted to not being focused since The Judgment Day broke up and Damian Priest left for SmackDown. Ripley felt isolated for the first time in over two years, and this change resulted in her downfall.

Meanwhile, Belair has also been dealing with betrayal herself. Her longtime friend, Naomi, revealed that she attacked Jade Cargill, which left the EST in an emotional state. Having said that, it will be interesting to see how the road to WrestleMania for all three women pans out.
