“While he loves Hollywood,” Triple H provides update on Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s WWE status amidst absence from programming
Triple H talked about The Rock's current status amidst his absence from programming ahead of this year's WrestleMania.

The Rock will always be one of the greatest personalities WWE has ever produced. While he is currently focused on making movies and earning millions (and millions), Triple H believed he could never be permanently away from WWE. He emphasized The Rock’s deep-rooted connection to professional wrestling and his undeniable passion for the business.
While speaking on the Sunday Brunch, WWE’s Chief Content Officer said that nothing compares to the energy of the WWE crowd. Triple H explained that The Rock keeps returning to the Stamford-based company because of his love for the wrestling business. He further added that there’s no greater feeling than having nearly 80,000 fans cheering their name while they control the crowd’s emotions through storytelling.
In 2024, The Rock transformed the WWE landscape by turning heel and aligning with The Bloodline under his Final Boss persona. From that moment on, he made Cody Rhodes‘ journey a living nightmare, creating obstacles at every turn. His influence extended to WrestleMania XL, where he played a crucial role in shaping the event’s outcome.
The Rock constantly comes back into what we do because while he loves Hollywood, there’s no place to get that connection. When 80,000 people are going crazy and you’re in that ring, and you’re controlling their emotions with your storytelling, it’s electric.

His last appearance was at Elimination Chamber, where he made a power move by turning John Cena heel. After winning the Elimination Chamber match, the 16-time world champion viciously attacked The American Nightmare and aligned himself with The Rock. It will be interesting to see if he appears again before the Showcase of the Immortals.
Who could The Rock recruit next in his ‘corporate’ team?
Even after bringing John Cena under his leadership, The Rock might not stop there. After joining the Board of Directors, The Brahma Bull went on a trademarking spree, securing the rights to “Team Corporate.” This suggests that he could be planning a stable with more members, expanding his influence even further.

Rocky would fully support Cena winning the championship at WrestleMania, but he might also welcome another world champion to his team—Gunther. If Cena defeats Rhodes at the Showcase of the Immortals and The Ring General retains his title, the power-hungry Final Boss will have world champions from both brands.
Many seem to forget that The Rock filed a very crucial trademark last year.

There’s a strong chance that The Rock will appear at WrestleMania 41. He’s determined to dethrone Rhodes as the WWE World Champion because Rhodes refused to sell his soul to him. Many fans hope that at the Show of Shows, a new ally might join The Rock and Cena, influencing the main event’s outcome.
John Cena surpasses The Rock as the most searched WWE wrestler in March
March has been a roller coaster ride for the WWE Universe, beginning with one of the biggest twists in wrestling history—John Cena turning heel. Millions of fans who once admired him are now booing him after he attacked Rhodes and aligned with The Final Boss. It goes without saying that The Doctor of Thuganomics was the most Googled wrestler of the month.

However, no one expected him to surpass the man who pushed him to embrace his dark side—The Rock. There is no doubt that Rocky is one of the most famous personalities, not only in the wrestling industry but also in Hollywood. This only amplifies the impact of the 16-time world champion turning heel after 22 years, breaking a world record in the process.

Since his heel turn, Cena has openly blamed the WWE Universe for treating him like their puppet. He also vowed to take the WWE World Championship from Rhodes at WrestleMania and retire with it. In his words, the WWE fans had done nothing to deserve him. On the latest episode of Raw, both stars got physical for the first time since Elimination Chamber, when Rhodes hit Cena with a Cross Rhodes.
