WWE has been in a booming period lately. From breaking record profits to sold-out PLEs, WWE has been doing it all lately. In 2025, the company will go through another major change that might change professional wrestling programming forever. WWE’s weekly show Raw will be moving to Netflix in January next year. Recently, the company’s CCO, Triple H, talked about how much this move is going to change the viewer’s experience.

Speaking on The Pat McAfee Show, The Game stated that on Netflix, there is going to be no need to censor the chants. In fact, the show will be streamed globally, which is certainly a game-changing moment. Triple H elucidated that on Fox, if the crowd makes any NSFW chants, they are either bleeped or the screen turns black. However, on Netflix, these types of issues won’t be there.

Netflix is a completely different animal. Right now, just an example of us being on FOX and you know if the crowd chants ‘holy shit’ or something much worse, they just take that audio, sometimes they take the picture and the audio off and it’s just a black screen. We won’t have those issues on Netflix.

The deal between WWE and Netflix is worth a hefty $5 billion. There are many speculated changes WWE might undergo with their programming on the streaming giant. Such changes might include Raw becoming a two-hour show instead of three hours. Furthermore, it was also rumored that the number of ad breaks would drastically decrease.

It is going to be interesting to see what kind of changes WWE is going to bring to their programs and storylines. With stories such as the Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley, and Dominik Mysterio love triangle, WWE might attract a number of eyes to the screen on Netflix. That being said, there would not be any censorship over cuss words in the company; therefore, the stars would now be more liberated than ever with their promos.

Triple H said WWE is not a sport but a movie about a sport

Every week, WWE puts on 7 hours of live television, which is commendable on its own. Apart from that, fans can consume the content through behind-the-scenes clips and interviews as well. Speaking of that, Triple H recently talked about WWE, which is not just a sport but a movie about a sport that indulges fans’ interest throughout the year and in the long term.

During a conversation on The Pat McAfee Show, The Game said that WWE tries to intrigue its viewers into the drama. In fact, the conversation is not just about the in-ring action but also about behind-the-scenes stories. This includes the status of superstars, the controversy, and everything else that piques the interest of viewers, like a movie.

We're a movie about a sport or a TV show about a sport. The interest of all the other things happening are just as great as what happens in the ring. People are so interested, in not only those storyline, but who are the real people behind those storylines? The drama behind it.
