‘I think Billy Joe gives him a lesson’ – Tyson Fury
Fury was quoted as saying, “I think Billy Joe gives him a boxing lesson. That’s what I’m here to see and that’s what I think will happen. I think everyone raves on about Canelo and how good he is and how he’s such a great guy but I just think every time Billy Joe steps into the pressure cooker he delivers, much like myself.” [via TalkSPORT]
He continued, “Canelo’s tasted defeat and we know he can be outboxed because we’ve seen it. [Floyd] Mayweather outboxed him convincingly. He’s had a couple of sticky fights, struggled in a couple of southpaw fights. He struggled with [Erislandy] Lara.” [via TalkSPORT]
Well, Saunders has never been defeated in his professional career. He’s fought a whopping 30 times, largely untested so far. This Canelo fight is without a doubt the biggest and will forever be the biggest test in his career. He does have the firepower to bring the Mexican down, but he will have to be very watchful.
Alvarez will be hoping to stick to the basics, and put on a usual show, which he has been doing since time immemorial.
