UFC 270 as expected turned out to be a blockbuster event for the promotion. The fight card looked amazing on paper and it didn’t disappoint the fans at all. 

One of the most anticipated match-ups was the trilogy title fight between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo. The fight was classic and filled with entertaining moments. It kept the MMA fans on their toes and turned out to be the most energetic fight of the night. 

Both the fighters had already faced each other twice and had an idea of their opponent. But this just pushed the pair to come up with new strategies and tricks which would give them the extra edge. After going constant back and forth, Figueiredo ended up winning the bout via unanimous decision.

After getting an impressive win against Moreno and reclaiming his title, Figueiredo was interviewed by Joe Rogan in the post-fight interview. 

In the interview, Figueiredo thanked for the enormous opportunity and everyone who believed in him and supported him. Deiveson Figueiredo explained that that was his time to shine and he proved himself. The new flyweight champion also thanked his rival Brandon Moreno for delivering an incredible performance which helped in putting on a great show and fight of the night for the fans. “Today is my day man, it’s my day. Thank you so much, Brandon Moreno,” said Figueiredo

The Brazilian was very high on emotions and shared his experience away from his family and friends while he was training and having a hard time. The fighter expressed that life will always put you down and it will be hard but giving up and quitting is not an option. In the end, Figueiredo challenged Moreno for the fourth fight in his home turf, Mexico. 

During his post-match interview, Moreno looked a little disappointed as he believed that he connected better. But the former champion accepted that Figueiredo might have delivered more powerful shots which helped him. Moreno felt that he was better in that fight and was putting more pressure but his opponent came up with a better game plan. “Man I feel like I threw better combinations with more speed, maybe he connected with more power. Obviously, I felt I won but it is what it is right now,” said Moreno.
