Real Madrid fought back from 2-0 down and managed to make it 2-2 against Monchengladbach. Benzema and Casemiro got the goals in the last few minutes to get Madrid one point from the fixture. Gladbach will be very disappointed after having led by two goals through Thuram. Moreover, Madrid are in the last place in their Champions League group and will now need to get points against Inter Milan in a huge test of their credentials.

First Half

The first half was subdued with chances at premium for both sides. However, Gladbach got the opening from a break with Thuram scoring through a pass from Plea. Zidane speaking after the match said, “We didn’t think this would be such a drama. But my team showed that they know how to react. We always play to win and show the hunger to win. No way were we happy with the draw.”
