UEFA yet again partners with Konami to bring Euro 2021 to PES 2021

Konami tied up with UEFA last year to bring the Euro 2020 as an exclusive competition to PES 2020. Following the arrival of CoVID-19, the tournament was pushed to 2021, but the fun was the same as an online competition was conducted with players representing their countries.
The inaugural year’s winners were Italy, represented by a team of four gamers- AlonsoGrayfox, Naples17x, Nicaldan and Genoa_Npk02. They defeated France in the semi-finals and Serbia in the finals AlonsoGrayfox said “It was a great emotion. It was incredible to get to this point and now that we’ve won it, I cannot express my feelings in words. The decisive game was the one against France in the semi-finals. That victory gave us self-confidence. I’m proud to be Italian, I’m proud to be Sardinian. It’s incredible, I still cannot believe we did it- it’s a dream”

In November 2020-December 2020, each of the European national associations will nominate a team of four players, unless there’s a national e-team already existing. They will compete in a group stage format and progress to the round of 16 to the finals. The format of the tournament is similar to its real life counterpart. The winner of each round and the best six runner-ups qualify for the final tournament in London.
The winners of this tournament will get a cash prize and tickets to the UEFA EURO 2020 finals!
