“2022 coach of the year”- Henry Cejudo will coach Korean Zombie to ‘kill’ Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 273
Henry Cejudo
Henry Cejudo has fully transitioned into an MMA coach in recent times. The former two-division champion now has decided to take The Korean Zombie under his wing to help dethrone Alexander Volkanovski.
Former bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo might have not got the opportunity to fight against Volkanovski for the featherweight belt but he sure will make sure “The Great” does not remain the champ after UFC 273. Cejudo will be coaching the title challenger Chan Sung Jung ahead of his huge title fight.
In a recent episode of the show Triple C and Schmo, Cejudo explained why he decided to coach the Zombie. “If you’re not going to give me Alexander Volkanovski’s head on a plate, I’m going to find someone to do it for me, with interest. His name is the Korean Zombie. He’s not out to take any prisoners. He is here to slash that“ said Cejudo.
Henry Cejudo says Brian Ortega is also involved in the training camp
Cejudo is not looking to settle for less as a coach. The fighter has already helped two champs train. Zhang Weili, who challenged Rose Namajunas at UFC 268 was cornered by Triple C and most recently, at UFC 270 Cejudo helped Deiveson Figueiredo reclaim his belt from Brandon Moreno.
Now, it is the Korean Zombie who has reached out for help. “You’re looking at the 2022 coach of the year,” said Cejudo. Triple C also revealed that Brian Ortega, the recent featherweight title challenger has joined the training camp and give tips to Chan Sung Jung.
“I believe Brian did give the Koran Zombie his two cents, and Zombie was happy. He was nice enough to give the Zombie some tips,” said Cejudo talking to the Schmo. Do you think Volkanovski will remain the champ after UFC 273?
