The titan of UFC Lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov defeated Justin Gaethje in a title unification match for the Lightweight championship and with this, he announced his retirement from UFC. Along with that in the co-main event, Robert Whittaker defeats Jared Cannonier in a fight for the number one contender to face Israel Adesanya next.

Round 1: The title unification match between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje is underway. Both fighters nearly keep circling each other for a minute. Gaetjhe tries to connect with the first strike in the form of the inside leg kick. Khabib struck some hard kicks and punches. He is running hard at Geathje, The Highlight is swinging hard punches but they are not connecting.
This is Khabib’s pressure, Gaetjhe looks tired Khabib is fighting at a crazy pace striking some hard kicks and punches. Gaethje lands some hard punches and kicks Khabib shoots his trademark double leg looking for a choke but the bell saves Gaethje.
Round 2: Gaethje tells his corner that Khabib’s leg is hurt. Gaethje lands a left hand, Khabib is pressing him again. Khabib spins him around, he gets the top mount on Gaethje. Round 1: In the matchup for the number one contender of the UFC Middleweight championship, Jared Cannonier and Robert Whittaker take on each other. The first round started with Whittaker landing an outside kick. They trade leg kicks with each other. Cannonier whips a hard kick at Whittaker, but Whittaker follows with two more. Cannonier lands a right punch, Whittaker connects with an inside leg kick and the round ends 10-9 Whittaker.
Round 2: The round starts and Whittaker strikes a right hand. Cannonier throws a punch but misses, Whittaker connects with a jab. Cannonier connects with a one-two combination. Whittaker lands a jab, he is looking one step ahead of Cannonier. Cannonier looks a little tired while Whittaker is on fire. The bell sounds and 20-18 for Whittaker.
Round 3: Cannonier looking for a finish at the start of the round. Whittaker lands a hard jab followed by a hard punch. Cannonier is trying to run in the fence and he trips and fall down, Whittaker sits on top of him and starts landing punches, Cannonier’s eye is bust open. Round 1: In the heavyweight clash at UFC 254 main card Walt Harris and Alexander Volkov entered the Octagon against each other. The big boys start the fight by touching gloves, Harris throws a head kick at the very start of the round. Volkov returns him with a kick of his own. Both fighters are kicking one after another.
Volkov connects with a three punch combination followed by a left jab and that hurts Harris. Harris connects with a left hand along with a combination. Volkov tags Harris, he’s hurt. Harris is throwing some serious strikes. The round ends 10-9 Volkov.
Round 2: Harris is hurt by the kick in first round. Harris tries to shoot a takedown but Volkov stuffs him with right hand and a hard kick in the mid section. He’s hurt again and Volkov finished the job with punches when Harris is against the fence and that’s it win for Volkov.

Round 1: Phil Hawes and Jacob Malkoun take on each other in a Middleweight contest. They touch gloves and the match starts, Hawes strikes a right hand and Malkoun is hurt. Hawes rained punches on Malkoun and flatten him with a series of punches. That’s it the fight is over in just 18 seconds of the very first round. What a debut.

Round 1: In the first heavyweight clash of the night Stefan Struve entered the Octagon against Tai Tuivasa. The big boys are up in the Octagon. Tuivasa swings the first shots but misses it, he tries a takedown. Struve tries to get up but Tuivasa continuously strikes punches.
Both of them finally get up Tuivasa lands a right hand and ties Struve against the fence. He starts landing punches on Struve’s head. Struve drops down and gets up, again knocked out by punches that’s it the referee dodged in and Tai Tuivasa won the fight.

Round 1: Casey Kenney takes on Nathaniel Wood in the flyweight match of the UFC 254 prelims.
