UFC 254: “Megatron” Hawes knocks Malkoun out cold in just 18 seconds!

UFC Middleweights Jacob Malkoun and Phil Hawes met inside the UFC Octagon as the third fight of the main card of UFC 254. The fight was Malkoun’s debut fight in the UFC and he still made the main card. On the other hand, Hawes came off a win in September last year.

Both fighters looked out to win to gain another good opportunity. Malkoun had a point to prove in his UFC debut why he is undefeated. On the other hand, Hawes had to show that he can stop anyone, anytime.

Fight Analysis

Round 1 started off with Hawes engaging as soon as possible. Malkoun backs over the fence. Hawes landed his first punch and rocked Malkoun on his knees. He follows up with more powerful punches, knocking Malkoun unconscious. “Megatron” Hawes took just 18 seconds to finish the fight and knock Malkoun out cold! The fight ended before it even started.

Hawes’ debut win in the UFC is now the 2nd fastest debut in UFC Middleweight History. The interview lasted 5 times longer than the fight. Hawes wins against Malkoun via KO in just 18 seconds of the very first round.
