The UFC Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo (8-1) entered the Octagon to defend his title against Alex Perez (6-1). Figueiredo will be entering his first title defense in the fight against Perez and the contender Perez will look forward to giving his 100% to strip the title from Figueiredo.

Round 1: Perez started the round with an early kick, Figueiredo is still to strike. He is studying Perez from outside trying to keep a distance. Figueiredo lands a nice kick to the body and landed his first strike. He’s pressing in now, Perez lands a left hand and moves in.

Perez tries for the single leg takedown but Figueiredo able to survive, he grabs the fence and the referee gives him the warning. Perez gets Figueiredo off balance and scrambles Figueiredo attempts the guillotine. Perez tries to posture up but the champ isn’t letting him go and here comes the tap.

The UFC Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo came in too hot for Alex Perez to handle. Perez entered this match to fill in the shoes of Cody ‘No Love’ Garbrandt but he fails miserably as Figueiredo made him tap in the very first round of the match with an impressive guillotine choke.

This was Figueiredo’s first title defense and he lived up to the expectations of the people and displayed pure champion stuff. Perez can’t do anything else than the shake of the head and leaves the Octagon with an L on his side. And Figueiredo is still the UFC Flyweight champion.
