UFC 262: Main card fight predictions

Main event: Charles Oliveira vs. Michael Chandler

Charles Oliveira def Michael Chandler via submission (Round 4). If I were a betting man I’d put my money on Do Bronx. Charles Oliveira has the most submissions in the UFC and his work ethic gives him the edge over Michael Chandler for me. Also the fact that Chandler is just one fight into the biggest fighting organization feels like will get the better of the former Bellator champion.

Co-main event: Tony Ferguson vs. Beneil Dariush

Beneil Dariush def. Tony Ferguson via decision. I’d hate to make this prediction being a fan of El Cucuy but Beneil Dariush is winning this bout. As much as I love Tony Ferguson I believe it is going to be a herculean task for him to climb the mountain that is Dariush. Dariush is coming off a winning streak and I don’t see him losing this fight.

Mathew Christopher Schnell vs. Rogerio Bontorin:

Mathew Christopher Schnell def. Rogerio Bontorin via decision. For this bout, my predictions lean towards the former flyweight champion Schnell. I think he has to prove that he still on top of the food chain and would like to get assert his dominance in the promotion.

Katlyn Chookagian vs Viviane Araujo:

Viviane Araujo def. Katlyn Chookagian via TKO. For this fight, I believe though the odds favor the veteran, I think Viviane Araujo defeats the experienced Chookagian this time. Araujo has been beating all tip contenders ever since her debut and has high confidence coming into this fight.

Shane Burgos vs. Edson Barboza:

Shane Burgos def. Edson Barboza via decision. This fight is a tough one given Edson’s experience. But Shane enters the fight as a fan favorite and I’m going with that too. Both of them are hard hitters and there is no doubt this will be an entertaining fight.
