“It’s not as bad as it looked,” Jamahal Hill gives an update on his nasty elbow injury at UFC 263

Jamahal Hill and Paul Craig
The undefeated Light Heavyweight UFC fighter, Jamahal Hill entered the Octagon at UFC 263 to face jiu-jitsu specialist Paul Craig. There were a lot of beef between both of them entering into this fight but it all ended with Hill facing the first loss of his MMA career.
Paul Craig pulled the guard in the very first round of the fight and attacked Hill’s arm, he was able to transit into an armbar, and ultimately it leads to Jamahal Hill’s elbow popping out.
The injury looked real nasty at that moment in time. But recently in an interview with TMZ Sports, Hill told it wasn’t that nasty, how it looked. Jamahal Hill says, “It’s not as bad as it looked, there’s no break.”
“My elbow just dislocated pretty badly but they were able to pop it back in and the doctor said it’s rock solid. It’s doing all the movement that it needs to, it’s just going to be sore for a while.”
“I’ll follow up with my doctor when I land back at home and we’re gonna go from there. Hopefully I can be back in real soon.” {H/T MMA Fighting}
Even after getting his arm dislocated, Jamahal Hill landed some shots on the face of Craig. Talking about them he added, “It was a little discomfort whenever I first originally looked down and saw it, pain didn’t really register, it was just ‘Win.’ It was just the competitor in me. I tried to knock him out.”

“I was like,’ ‘Alright, you’ve got to land that shot, try to knock him out.’ That’s what I went for but it was pretty bad spot for me not being able to post up with my arm at that time. The only thing I can do from that point is, ‘How’s my face on the ground? Learn. Good lesson. Alright this happened.’”
Jamahal Hill continued, “Instantly my mind is on growth, how do I grow from here? I got up and went to the official, stood up at the official decision to show respect to my opponent, to show respect to the game. I went and took my lumps and now I’m gonna adjust and I’m gonna come back.”
Jamahal Hill wants to run it back again with Craig

The bad blood between Jamahal Hill and Paul Craig seemed to be disappeared when both of them hugged each other after the fight at UFC 263. Recently, Hill also shared a video of him and Craig dancing in a bar.
But even after this bad blood is gone, Hill wants to run it back with ‘Bearjaw’ in the future someday. “We definitely gonna have to run that one back at some point, I feel with what he’s done recently he deserves to move forward,”
“I’ve got to handle whatever I’ve got to handle through the loss that I just went through, but definitely. I hope he keeps winning so that way the next time we meet it’s for some serious marbles. But yeah, that’s definitely one I want to run back.”
