“It will seriously f—k up our budget,” Dana White speaks about a permanent bonus of $75K after UFC 264
Dana White
The UFC president Dana White increased the post-fight bonuses for the first time at UFC 262 when the former UFC interim lightweight champion, Tony Ferguson requests him to increase the bonus for the pay per view.
Complementing this the fighters at UFC 264 also enjoyed the same share of bonus. The Bantamweight fighters Sean O’Malley and Kris Moutinho enjoyed the fight of the night bonus.
While Tai Tuivasa and Dricus Du Plessis won the performance of the night bonus. When it was asked to Dana White in the post-fight press conference at UFC 264 that why this time bonus was increased, white says,
“I was in there giving the fighter meeting and it’s a big fight, I was getting all fired up. And I just said f—k it! We get a little fired up in the fighter meeting sometimes,”
But unfortunately White also added that the bonus amount isn’t going to be increased permanently anytime soon. He added, “Probably not, It will seriously f—k up our budget.”
Dana White also doesn’t seemed too pleased with Conor McGregor dragging Poirier’s wife in their beef
The last few days before the trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier, witnessed some really intense events with ‘The Notorious’ leaking Poirier’s wife DM request and talking trash about her as well.
This wasn’t the first time McGregor dragged someone’s spouse in between before his fight with Khabib Nurmagomedov he tweeted and deleted a remark about Khabib’s wife saying, “Your wife is a towel mate”.
McGregor didn’t even stop here even after breaking his ankle and losing the fight at UFC 264, he kept talking trash about Poirier’s wife, and even the UFC president Dana White doesn’t like this.
In the post-fight interview, White says, “Yeah, I don’t like that. Yeah, that’s not good. Leave people’s family and wives and all that stuff out of it. Family has nothing to do with it.”
