Song Yadong wins at UFC 265
The bantamweight contest between Casey Kenney (16-3-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and Song Yadong (16-5-1 MMA, 5-1-1 UFC) kick-started the main card of UFC 265,
Round 1- Song and Casey both got to the center of the octagon but they took their time to engage. Kenny started off with a nice kick to the leg and Song answered with a kick of his own, both of them tried to find their range with the punches but nothing significant landed. In the final minute of the round, Kenney timed a perfect straight that dropped Song but he got right back up, a great start to the main card of UFC 265.
Round 2- Kenney kept on moving forward and he kept the pressure high, he fighting behind that leg kick but nothing significant landed for him. Song was trying to counter and he was sitting on his punches, he had more total strikes than Kenney but nothing significant for him as well. Kenney landed a big shot in the final moment of the round which forced Song to engage in a clinch.
Song Yadong sticked to his gameplan and got the split decision victory at UFC 265
Round 3- Song was landing more strikes than Kenney, he had more significant strikes and that forced Kenney to push even further in this round. Song stuffed two takedowns from Kenney and they decided to just stand and bang in the final moment of the fight. Kenney shot another takedown and got that one to finish the fight on top.
