Ciryl Gane lands an uppercut on Derrick Lewis at UFC 265

Ciryl Gane put on another masterclass, as he clinched the interim heavyweight title against Derrick Lewis in the main event of UFC 265. ‘Bon Gamin’ was at his elemental best, earning a third round TKO win over ‘The Black Beast’. With that win, Gane will be locking horns with the heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou next.

The Twitter world erupted as Gane coasted to an interim heavyweight title fight in only his 10th fight. Here is how people from the MMA community reacted to Ciryl Gane’s stunning win over Derrick Lewis.

Before the match began, Ngannou reminded everyone that he was the king, and Gane and Lewis were just contenders.

Daniel Cormier, who was in the commentary panel was beyond excited for the division’s future. He wrote: “He’s a real problem! I’m super excited about the unification fight! If I am team @francis_ngannou I’m game plan meeting right now! We haven’t seen a heavyweight like this with these abilities!“

Lewis could hardly land even a single strike on Gane.
