The UFC will be heading out of the United States for UFC 267. The event is set to take place on the 30th of October, 2021 at the Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. A light-heavyweight title bout between the champ Jan Blachowicz and Glover Texeira will be headlining the event.

This will be Blachowicz’s second title defense after a successful one against Israel Adesanya at UFC 259. Texeira, on the other hand, at 41 years of age earned the right to challenge for the title after five back-to-back wins. He is coming off a submission win over Thiago Santos in November 2020.

The co-main event will see Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen fight for the interim bantamweight title. The fight was originally set to be a title rematch between Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling, but Sterling pulled out due to an injury. Sandhagen is coming off a narrow loss against TJ Dillashaw.

The main card also features a high-voltage lightweight bout between the surging Islam Makhachev and ‘anytime, anywhere, any place’ Dan Hooker. Makhachev was set to face Rafael dos Anjos. Hooker stepped in after dos Anjos withdrew from the fight due to an injury.

Khamzat Chimaev makes a return to the Octagon, after more than a year of inaction. He takes on Li Jingliang in a welterweight contest.
