Report: Germaine de Randamie is out of the fight against Irene Aldana at UFC 268

Former featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie is unfortunately forced out of the exciting card of UFC 268.

Germaine De Randamie was scheduled to fight against Irene Aldana at UFC 268 in a very decisive bantamweight bout. It was most likely that the winner of that fight would get their chance at the title shot. The fight was scheduled for November 6th at the Madison Square Garden in New York. The bout is headlined by the much-anticipated title rematch of Kamaru Usman vs Colby Covington 2.

The news about the bout cancelation was first reported by ESPN Deportes. According to the report, Randamie is forced to pull out due to an undisclosed injury. There is yet to be an official announcement about this. “The Iron Lady” is coming off a submission win against Julianna Pena who is now fighting for the title.

After Germaine De Randamie pulling out, Irene Aldana’s situation uncertain

Irene Aldana has been putting on some amazing performances leading up to this bout. She is 3-1 in her last four bouts. Aldana is coming off a KO win against Yana Kunitskaya at UFC 264. She has a record of 13-6-0 in her career.

Whether Irene will be on the card with another opponent or if the Randamie vs Aldana bout is to be postponed, is yet to be decided according to the reports. The event on November 6th is stacked with two title fights one of them being a rematch between, Rose Namajunas and Zhang Weili.
