Kamaru Usman and Colby Covington
The UFC Welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman achieved one more milestone in his UFC career by becoming the first athlete to pass 50x clean tests in the history of the USADA program. He created history by becoming the first athlete to reach this mark by fighting his entire career under the UFC program.
He was presented with a Commemorative Jacket by UFC Senior VP of Athlete Health and Performance, Jeff Novitzky. Interestingly enough he received this reward just before his fight against the former UFC interim Welterweight champion, Colby Covington at UFC 268 who always accuses him of using PED’s.
These two giants of the Welterweight division faced each other for the first time at UFC 245 and Covington faced a TKO loss in that fight. Since that loss, he has forced multiple accusations on Kamaru Usman for using EPO and even gave him nicknames such as ‘Marty Juiceman’ and ‘CEO of EPO’.
In his interview with BT Sports, Covington gave an immediate reaction to Usman receiving this award by saying, “My immediate reaction is that he is ahead of the curve. He has a brother for a doctor, and they’re able to mask the drugs in his system. Everybody knows Barry Bonds was doing steroids his whole career, but he never got caught because he was ahead of the curve. It is the same thing for Marty,”
Covington gave this with reference to Barry Bonds, who is a former MLB player, and later on, he became a central figure in American baseball’s steroids scandal. Colby Covington added, “You can look on his stomach and see all the injection marks, you can see all the acne breaking out on his back, breaking out on his face.”
“You can’t tell me you have a chemical imbalance on your body when you’re 35-years old. He is a cheater, he is the ‘Marty Juiceman’, and he is the CEO of EPO.”

The UFC Welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman shared a video on his personal Instagram, mocking Colby Covington and saying, “See this CEO and EPO is the cleanest fighter in the world. Thanks to USADA.”
“Cleanest athlete in the world, a.k.a CEO and EPO is the cleanest fighter in the world and no one can say this in the whole UFC.” All this banter before the fight is making this highly anticipated rematch more interesting and the fans are eagerly waiting to see this one.
