The welterweight title rematch between the champion Kamaru Usman and the challenger Colby Covington was one of the most anticipated fights of this year, and it certainly lived up to the hype. Usman started the fight strong and did considerable damage in the first two rounds, he dropped Covington twice in round number 2 but he recovered well and made a strong comeback in rounds 3, 4, and 5.

Covington started putting up the pressure and landed some big shots, he even stunned Usman at the end of round number 4. 5th round was fairly competitive as well but the champion did just enough to retain his belt via unanimous decision. Usman proved why he is the best pound-for-pound fighter on this planet, and his performance called for some insane reactions from MMA fans all around the world.

UFC’s bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling congratulated both the competitor for their amazing performance, he wrote, “#AndStill! Great fight men! Much respect to both of you.”
