In just 3 fights inside the promotion’s octagon, UFC Lightweight Michael Chandler has shown that he was always meant for the world’s topmost competition of the MMA’s lightweight division, he was just waiting for the right opportunity. Flashback to his debut at UFC 257, Chandler made the most spectacular debut by knocking out a top-level knockout artist in Dan Hooker in round 1.
UFC 262 was not Chandler‘s night but he was razor close to defeating the current champion in Charles Oliveira, again in the first round. In his last fight at UFC 268, Chandler lost again via unanimous decision but the respect from the fans grew exponentially high for the “Iron” as he showed the heart he had to fight recklessly for the love of the sport till the very end.

Michael Chandler lost to Justin Gaethje via unanimous decision but not without putting on a show for the MMA fans around the world. Both Chandler and Gaethje went back and forth inside the Octagon and earned a huge round of applause inside the great Madison Square Garden, the mecca of all sporting events.
This however came at a huge cost, in a video uploaded by TMZ, Chandler took as many as 22 stitches on his face to heal the cuts received in the fight. The minor cuts are all over the face, the major ones are above the right eyebrow and underneath the lower lip.
