The former UFC Flyweight champion, Deiveson Figueiredo is going to face Brandon Moreno in a trilogy fight at UFC 270. Figueiredo has moved his training camp from Brazil for the preparation of this fight and he is training with the former two-division UFC champion, Henry Cejudo right now.

Brandon Moreno was the earlier training partner of Cejudo but according to him, Moreno left for another camp to help Joseph Benavidez and now Figueredo aims to take his and Cejudo’s revenge from ‘The Assassin Baby’.

In his latest interview with MMA Junkie, Deiveson Figueiredo says, “I come here because the main thing was the focus and I wanted to be out of my gym, But I wanted to be with Cejudo and Eric because he’s the champion and he made the champion. Lions walk with lions.”

“I love to be here and when I arrived Cejudo told me about Brandon Moreno, what Brandon Moreno did with him. Moreno lived two years in Cejudo’s house and after that left for another camp to help Benavidez fight Cejudo.”

Figueiredo added, “He betrayed Cejudo. I’m going to be very happy in taking Moreno’s head off and giving it to Cejudo because in our sport you can’t be a traitor.” {h/t MMA Junkie}

Brando Moreno trained with Henry Cejudo before he joined ‘The Ultimate Fighter 24’ which was coached by Joseph Benavidez and Cejudo. He was picked by Benavidez to join his team and he later developed a relationship with him.

Although Moreno mainly trained in the Entram Gym still, Figueredo finds this move as a betrayal. Now he is happy to train with Henry Cejudo and seeks to take revenge on the traitor.

He added, “I’m very happy to be here, Eric is a great coach and a great person. We talked over Instagram for a while and Eric invited me to come here. It’s funny, it’s like it was destiny, and now I’m part of the family. I want to train here in Fight Ready and now it’s happening. Eric is very smart and he’s a big piece.”
