Diego Lopes wants to continue his successful streak after UFC 300. Lopes had a successful first-round TKO win over Sodiq Yusuff this April. He now wants two more fights in 2024. The UFC has two mega events coming up this year and Lopes took to X to press that he wants in.

Diego Lopes recently laid out his plans for the rest of this year. He revealed that he has not stopped training after UFC 300 and wants to fight at these upcoming UFC events. Translated from Spanish, the tweet read:

My plan is to fight on June 29, international fight week, September 14 in the sphere. I hope ufc will honor my request. I didn't stop training, the Monday after the fight I was already active again.

Diego Lopes’ performance at UFC 300 was arguably his best to date. He knocked down Sodiq Yusuff in the first round of their featherweight bout. Lopes landed a pair of right uppercuts to the body and head that dropped Yusuff to the canvas. Lopes then took Yusuff’s back and unleashed a barrage of punches until referee Mark Smith stopped the fight.

This was Lopes’ third consecutive first-round win in the four fights he has had in the UFC. He has become a fan favorite since making his UFC debut last year. After the fight, Lopes called out Movsar Evloev who was responsible for his only loss in the UFC. Diego Lopes has now secured #14 on the UFC’s featherweight rankings. Lopes wrote motivating words to his followers in the caption.
