Charles Payne hosts the FOX Business Network’s (FBN) Making Money with Charles Payne segment. One might wonder what that has to do with combat sports culture if anything at all. UFC 300’s lightweight sensation Renato Moicano appeared with Payne on FOX Live to talk about his viral post-fight speech at the T-Mobiel Arena.
Renato Moicano faced lightweight mainstay Jalin Turner and emerged victorious. He successfully banks on Turner’s nonchalance with ground-and-pound at the 4:11 mark of the second round. Moreover, he also went viral with his post-fight Octagon interview yet again.
Nobody can hurt me, I’m ‘Money' f*cking Moicano. I’m not going to stop until I have the belt. I am the best in the business...First of all, I love America, I love the Constitution...I love the 1st amendment... I want to carry enough f*cking guns... I love private property. And let me tell you something. If you care about your...country, read Ludwig von Mises and the six lessons of the Austrian economic school.Renato Moicano at the UFC 300 Post-fight Octagon interview
Moicano has a way with words and in this case, it was different. ‘Money’ Moicano later took to his social media handles to give yet another shoutout to Ludwig von Mises and the six lessons of the Austrian Economic School. It is a credit to the growing Austrian economic movement in Brazil that Moicano supports Mises. In the face of the spreading of socialism in Europe, Von Mises was a staunch advocate of free markets.
As seen from the above reel, he appeared on FOX Live to voice his thoughts yet again. Fighters like Moicano, who hold superior dominance on the mic, are surprisingly entailing a new class of progressive free thinkers. The Mais Mises campaign has had a hold on Brazilian politics since 2016, which ‘Money’ ardently supports.
Renato Moicano explains his post-fight speech at UFC 300 and references to the Austrian School of Economics
UFC lightweight contender Renato Moicano is infamous for his deliberate choice of colorful words and vivid callouts. 19-5-1 MMA and 11-5 UFC at the moment, he rallied back to the top spot after defeating Jalin Turner at UFC 300.
However, in classic Moicano fashion, he went viral yet again for his colorful choice of vocabulary. He often voiced his liking for the American system and sociopolitical framework. Ardently engaging to be an American citizen, he often praises its values and practices. Now, Moicano has taken to voice his liking for Ludwig von Mises and the six lessons of the Austrian economic school. Republished as “Six Lessons,” the Economic Policy book covers topics of capitalism, socialism, inflation, and so on.
During a post-UFC 300 sitdown with Ariel Helwani, he explained –
Whole point of capitalism is about getting money. But what’s the point with inflation? The government wants people in bad places so they can keep the cycle of poverty…this is going to destroy not only the rich but the middle class too…in Brazil, people are going crazy with [my interview] My message is so important…it’s crystal clear. If you don’t control the debt, that’s going to ruin this country.Renato Moicano via The MMA Hour (for MMAFighting on SBN)
Moicano has surged as quite a fan-favorite lightweight prospect. Counting Turner and Drew Dober in the UFC Vegas 85 co-main event, he is now on a 3-win streak. As his fanbase keeps rising, ‘Money’ aims to use this spotlight as a platform to ensure people know about such issues and safety measures.
