The main event of UFC Vegas 27 went down in spectacular fashion. A Bantamweight showdown between Cody Garbrandt and Rob Font went down for five whole rounds of striking. Font won the main event against former bantamweight champion Cody by putting on a show of striking masterclass. A highly technical performance from Font will now see him climbing up the ranks.

A perfect game plan helped Rob seal the victory against a champion like Garbrandt at UFC Vegas 27. This win makes it 4 straight wins for Font and will likely fight another top-ranked fighter next. UFC and MMA Twitter were in awe of the performance laid out by these two fighters and went all out to commend them.

Welterweight champion, “The Nigerian Nightmare”, Kamaru Usman was impressed by Rob and Cody in the main event. The champ also took a dig at Paul Felder who announced his retirement.

The champion of the Bantamweight division Aljamain Sterling is ready to make his comeback and has his hopes high. “Leaning towards Garbrandt here but Font has the power to win. Line them up for the Kings return!” wrote Aljo on Twitter.

Former flyweight and bantamweight champion Henry Cejudo has been hinting a comeback ever since Sterling became the champion and his tweet certainly builds up hope. “I’m watching,” wrote champ-champ.

Derek Brunson, the middleweight contender has always been a fan of the sport. Like anybody else, Brunson too has was in awe of Rob’s skills as a fighter.

Other UFC stars like Belal Muhammad and Dan Ige also came out to Twitter to congratulate Font for his amazing performance. Ige also asked Cody to keep his chin up despite the loss.
