He trains with light heavyweight legend, and former title challenger, Alexander Gustafsson. He doesn’t get tired.”
“He hits every time“- Alexander Gustafsson claims Khamzat Chimaev’s striking is on par with his wrestling

Khamzat is known as a wrestler, but he displayed his precise striking in his fight against Gerald Meerschaert. He knocked him out with a single punch, and now he’s training at world-renowned Tiger Muay Thai to further improve his skills. Gustafsson also talked about his ability to land a punch, he said, “I better keep my hands up. I’m not kidding. He hits hard. He has this thing that he’s fast, and he has very good precision, so he doesn’t need a lot of power to just knock people out, because he knows what he’s aiming at, and he hits every time.”
“I’ve play-sparred with lot of guys, you’re just laughing and joking around and having a good time. But this guy, when he comes to spar, he comes to spar. It doesn’t matter if it’s me or another guy, he just goes,” Gustafsson concluded.
