“I just can’t see him take Khamzat’s punches“- Gustafsson rallies behind Khamzat Chimaev in a possible fight against Kamaru Usman
Chimaev’s teammate Alexander Gustafsson recently appeared in an interview with Brett Okamoto from ESPN. Brett asked him to give his honest opinion on what would happen if “The Borz” were to fight “The Nigerian Nightmare” this month only. Gustafsson said, “I think he put Kamaru Usman to sleep honestly. I think he just touches his chin… it’s a big chance that Usman goes to sleep.”
He added, “I like Usman he’s a great champ, he just like been breaking records and you know it’s just a very..it’s a pleasure to see him fight because he’s a very good technical..you know I love his jab and his wrestling and you know you can see that he’s on top, but I just can’t see him take Khamzat’s punches. I can’t see him take his combinations, when it comes to wrestling part, it would be also a pleasure.. it would probably be the biggest fights in the UFC history.”
