Khamzat “Borz” Chimaev might have not been in the UFC for a long time but in very little time, the fighter has managed to create a very good platform for himself. There is no doubt that right now, Khamzat Chimaev is the best fighter to watch inside the octagon as an MMA fan. The fighter from Chechnya has managed to finish all of his opponents and earn the privilege to call out the best of the best after just four fights in the promotion.

Khamzat has a record of 10-0 in his entire professional career and has finished all of his opponents. The fighter is 4-0 in the UFC and has two fights in welterweight and middleweight each. He has barely been scratched by his opponents and the fans crave to see him fight the top-ranked fighters. Chimaev too is not shying away from calling out THE BEST in the world right now.

“Borz” has called out damn near everyone in the UFC roster but earlier today the fighter dedicated an Instagram post calling out the number one pound-for-pound champion Kamaru Usman. Posting an edited picture of the two, Chimaev wrote, “2022 Inshallah” hinting at a title shot before the end of the new year.

It is impossible for anyone in the MMA world to have not heard about the hype behind Chimaev. Not even the best fighter of 2021, Kamaru Usman. After Khamzat’s electrifying performance at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi against Li Jingliang, Usman has been asked about fighting Chimaev for his next fight.

Kamaru has not been defeated in the UFC since his debut. The fighter is undefeated and is coming off five back-to-back title defenses. The champion has defended his title successfully three times in 2021 alone. When asked about fighting Khamzat, Usman said he would like to see the fighter from Chechnya rise to the top before he actually retires from the sport.

“I don’t know how much longer I’m willing to do this. They have to make sense for me now. If he’s able to get there, then we’ll talk about it at that point,” said Usman on considering defending his title against Khamzat Chimaev. Do you think you will see the two fighters in the octagon together before the end of 2022?
