Ali Abdelaziz talks Marvin Vettori vs Paulo Costa

Manager Ali Abdelaziz gives his prediction for the much anticipated Marvin Vettori vs Paulo Costa fight.

Ali Abdelaziz never gives up his fighters and this time he is backing the Italian Dream, Marvin Vettori to win his fight against the Brazilian middleweight Paulo Costa. Despite coming off a huge loss against Israel Adesanya at UFC 263, Ali believes that with the effort Marvin has put in the gym, he will surely get a win in this fight.

In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Abdelaziz said, “The amount of intensity he’s throwing, this is the new Marvin. He may have lost a title fight, but he gained a lot of confidence. He knows he’s 27 years old – he’s still a kid. And I believe Costa is a tough fighter, but he will stop him in three rounds.”

Vettori is coming off a loss against the middleweight champion Adesanya and is looking to bounce back. Prior to that, Vettori went on a 5-fight winning streak. He has a record of 17-5-1 in his professional MMA career. Meanwhile, Costa is returning to the octagon after a whole year. His last fight was against the champ too where he lost via TKO in the second round of the fight.

“He’s going to try and wrestle Marvin because the amount of intensity he’s going to bring into the fight is insane. I’m not just saying things to say. The hard work you put in the gym is going to transfer to the cage and I think we are going to see a very, very great fight,” said Ali. The manager finally gave his prediction and said that Vettori will win the fight via stoppage. Abdelaziz predicts a win for Vettori via stoppage under just three rounds. Vettori vs Costa is set to take place at UFC Fight Night 196 on October 23rd at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.
