Recently, Aljamain Sterling defended his title against the former Bantamweight champion Petr Yan at UFC 273. The co-main event bout ended up in a decision win for the champion. This win was necessary for Sterling considering how badly people treated him despite him being a champion.

However, even after the win against his arch nemesis many fight fans thought that the decision went wrong and should have favoured Yan. The UFC president himself said:

“I thought that the judges blew that one…I had it 3-2 the other way. I don’t know how you guys scored it. I guess it’s all in how you score that first round.” In the post fight press conference.

Since the illegal knee incident, the champion has been facing negative comments from his haters and Yan’s fans. Yan even called him a “paper champ“. Nevertheless, Yan would now have to accept the defeat and move on.

However, none of these should affect Sterling as he was declared as the champion by the authorised personnel. But, the champion has decided to go all out on his haters and is responding to all those who are questioning his win against Yan.

Recently, a fight fan questioned regarding his replies to his haters and people who are questioning his win. The Twitter user said : “Bro you won fair and square. Quit battling the internet. Move on brother.

To which, Sterling replied via his Twitter account saying “No” . Favouring his stance another Twitter user wrote: “Fans gave my dude constant shi* for two years. Day two of his Victory lap and fans saying move on”

Certainly, the user had a point that after going through all the trolls and hate when Sterling has finally proved himself on the big stage he should not entertain any of those hate towards him rather should give befitting replies.
Responding to the fan, Sterling said: “They can’t really think that I am done already, right? Grab yourself a few beers. We are gonna be here for a while”

Aljamain Sterling feels that he would be at the top for a while and apart from Yan and Dillashaw no one in the bantamweight division looks exciting enough to fight him. So, only time will tell if Sterling is staying as the champion for a longer period of time or not.
