“Doubt me now”- Aljamain Sterling sends his detractors a strong message

Aljamain Sterling

Unlike the first encounter between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan, Aljamain settled the score after beating Yan fair and square at the co-main event of UFC 273.

In their first exchange at UFC 259, Aljamain won the world title due to Yan striking him with an illegal knee. The former champion was disqualified for the same. Ever since Sterling has been the target of the MMA community. The fans did not feel that the status quo was correct as the current champion did not really beat his opponent via competency rather he beat him via the consequences of the match.

In the rematch, however, Sterling came in with a solid game plan, and he did enough to get the win on two judges’ scorecards. Post the fight, the champion was witnessed amped up, relishing his victory. He had a tenacious journey up until his recent win. He took to Twitter to express his feelings.

Sterling was waiting for this opportunity to silence his haters, and he wasted no time in grabbing the mic and calling his shots. Keep doubting me motherf****r.”

No doubt the champion deserved his well-attained victory through injuries and long layoff. This opens up new matchups in the division, and Sterling expressed his interest in facing the former bantamweight champion, TJ Dillashaw next. TJ responded to his call-out, and he is more than ready to fight him. “Thanks for the call out my little b**ch,” said Dillashaw in his response. “I hope you had fun pretending to be the champ because like I’ve always been saying, Daddy’s home. I’m getting that belt. Easy money.”
