UFC 273 features not one but two title fights in its pay-per-view card. One of them is the much-anticipated bantamweight title fight between Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan. This fight will be a title unifier bout and is one of the best fights on the blockbuster card. Sterling and Yan will take the center stage in the co-main event.

The fight takes place this weekend at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. The co-main event has a lot of history and drama built around it as Sterling will go out to prove that he is a worthy champion. It is fair to say that Sterling’s crowning moment is not the most glorious one in UFC history.

Aljamain entered the weigh-in stage with tears in his eyes. As the fighter made weight, he asked to be excused by the photographers and media before he could pose after the successful weigh-in. “It’s been a long time,” said Sterling talking to the officials. After taking a moment, Sterling yelled, “LETS GOO!!! I’M BACK BABY!”

Sterling became the first champion in the history of the promotion to win a belt via DQ. At UFC 259, Petr Yan was disqualified after hitting Sterling with an illegal knee leading to losing his belt to Sterling. The two bantamweights were later scheduled to fight in a rematch later but the American champion could not make the fight owing to a neck injury.
