Amanda Ribas vs Michelle Waterson targeted to face each other on March 26th UFC Fight Night

Michelle Waterson and Amanda Ribas
The number 10th ranked UFC women’s strawweight fighter, Amanda Ribas is targeted to face the number 9th ranked UFC women’s strawweight fighter, Michelle Waterson on UFC Fight Night which is scheduled for March 26th.
This fight card is expected to take place at Las Vegas’ UFC Apex, likewise all the other recent Fight Nights and it is expected to be headlined by the former UFC Lightweight champion, Jan Blachowicz facing Aleksandar Rakic.
Amanda Ribas recently rebounded from the first loss of her UFC career that came against Marina Rodriguez on UFC 257 and secured a win against Virna Jandiroba on UFC 267. She only lost one out of her last six UFC fights and holds victories over some of the big names in the women’s strawweight division such as Mackenzie Dern, Paige Vanzant, Randa Markos, and others.
Michelle Waterson on the other hand will be coming into this fight with a loss against Marina Rodriguez in a really short notice fight. She only managed to win two out of her last five UFC fights and Waterson also holds victories over some of the prominent names in the division such as Cortney Casey, Angela Hill, Page Vanzant, and others.
A win in this fight can present both of them an opportunity to move an inch closer to the title contention in the packed UFC women’s strawweight division.
Amanda Ribas called out Yan Xiaonan after her win against Jandiroba at UFC 267

Amanda Ribas wanted to face the number 4th ranked UFC women’s strawweight fighter, Yan Xiaonan after her win against Virna Jandiroba at UFC 267. Xiaonan recently faced the first loss of her UFC career against Carla Esparza on UFC Fight Night: Font vs Garbrandt and Ribas wanted to face her.
After her victory, she tweeted, “Heyy @yanxiaonan!!! I was thinking..almost all fighters in our weight division have a scheduled fight or something, How about schedule ours too?! think it would be a GREAAT fight.”
But looks like the Chinese fighter isn’t ready to step inside the Octagon until now after facing the first loss of her MMA career and that’s why Ribas agreed to face Waterson instead.
