Aspen Ladd at UFC Vegas 40 weigh-ins
Aspen Ladd hit the scales at 145lbs at the weigh-ins ahead of her headliner clash against Norma Dumont at UFC Vegas 40. Just a couple of weeks ago, she had her fight against Macy Chiasson cancelled after coming in almost 6 pounds heavier (bantamweight bout). Ladd was visibly shaking, and appeared as though she would faint any moment.
However, this time, she looked more healthier than ever, probably in her preferred weight. This will be Aspen Ladd’s first fight in almost two years. She hasn’t stepped inside the Octagon since her win over Yana Kunitskaya at UFC on ESPN: Overeem vs Rozenstruik in December 2019.
During Ladd’s weigh-in there was one amusing moment where the official checking the weight looked visibly upset. He could be seen slamming the weigh-in scale and walking with a dejected look (seemingly) after Ladd successfully made weight. Twitterati were quick to catch hold of the same.
“He lost the bet…Aspen Ladd was able to make weight” –
A few thought he would have bet on Ladd not making weight.
While a few pointed out the weakly stacked card, probably the weakest in recent times.
