Things got heated in the UFC 270 pre-fight press conference when a reporter decided to put words into Francis Ngannou’s mouth in an attempt to create controversies. The heavyweight champion clapped back as he was not having it at all.

Francis Ngannou will be taking the center stage with Ciryl Gane on January 22nd at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California in what is bound to be the greatest heavyweight matchup of all time. The heavyweight champion returns to the octagon after almost a year to fight for his belt and also his career in the UFC against his former teammate and interim champion Ciryl Gane.

UFC 270 pre-fight press conference kicked off and things weren’t as quiet as Francis’ press conferences usually are. The heavyweight champion was taking no bullsh*t from the media or his opponents today. An MMA reporter, in an attempt to instigate some bad blood between Francis and Ciryl, claimed this fight was an “easy fight” for Ngannou. Francis had a shocking reaction and did not hold back his words following that.

“Excuse me sir where did you read that Ciryl was a very easy fight? Did I say Ciryl is an easy fight? Did I ever say some fight is an easy fight?” asked Ngannou to the reporter. Ngannou is coming off a stunning win against Stipe Miocic, the greatest heavyweight fighter in UFC’s history. Ngannou had to build his way back up to another title shot after his loss to Miocic the first time. The Predator said fighting Stipe was the toughest in a past statement which the reporter try to reiterate in a poor way.

“Toughest! Tough than others. Meaning others are tough but he [Stipe Miocic] is the toughest. It is not easy to fight my man. If you ever fight in your life, you will know it’s not an easy fight,” said Ngannou assertively. The crowd had Ngannou’s back and continued to boo the reporter who tried to misquote the champion.
