Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are fighting in a highly anticipated boxing match. UFC CEO, Dana White recently made his comments on the highly controversial matchup. Paul and White have always been at odds because of Paul’s criticism of UFC’s fighter pay, which he deems low. Here is what happened:

A reporter asked Dana White at the UFC 299 post-fight press conference about the Paul vs. Tyson boxing match. Reportedly, Dana White had previously tried to talk Mike Tyson out of fighting again. Speaking about the fight, White said:

Mike’s 60 man! I don’t know. What do you guys think about it? Who gives a sh** what I think? It’s not my fight. I love Mike Tyson, personally, as a friend. He’s one of my favorite athletes of all time. Let’s see what he can go in there and put together a training camp, coming in… I don’t like to see guys fighting with a 31-year age difference.

From his statements, it does not sound like Dana White is very happy to see Mike Tyson fight Jake Paul. White highlighted the massive 31-year age difference between the two fighters. Mike Tyson and Jake Paul will fight this July in Arlington, Texas. They will fight at the 80,000-seater AT&T Stadium. Netflix is collaborating with Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions for the event.

McGregor also questioned the appeal of the fight. He said that he did not understand why anyone would want to watch it. However, he did wish Tyson well ahead of the fight. McGregor told The Illuminerdi YouTube channel that he would always root for Mike Tyson.

The feud between Conor McGregor and Jake Paul is widely known on social media. It began in early 2020 when Paul called out McGregor for a fight. McGregor initially dismissed Paul as a nobody and said he was not even a real fighter. Paul continued to goad McGregor, and it was rumored that the two eventually agreed to a fight in August 2021. However, there were no questions about a fight taking place after McGregor suffered a broken leg at UFC 264.
