Calvin Kattar is one of the major featherweight athletes in the UFC. Currently the American ranks at #5 in the UFC featherweight rankings. Kattar was born on 26 March 1998 in Massachusetts, USA. While growing up Kattar shared his childhood with brother Jamison and a sister named Kylee. His father Jamie Kattar and mother Sandy Kattar worked hard to help their kids to get an education and be successful in life.

Along with academics, Kattar was into wrestling at a very early age. He started his wrestling and combat sports training in his high school and continued it with great determination.

After completing his associate’s degree at Middlesex Community College, Calvin Kattar decided to start fighting for a living. Kattar decided to pursue a career in MMA after watching his sister’s best friend who introduced him to the world of mixed martial arts.

Kattar made his professional MMA debut in the year 2007 and showed great potential from the very beginning of his career. Before getting signed by the UFC, Kattar was previously a part of Promotions like Combat zone, EliteXC, World Championship Fighting, Xtreme Championship, etc.

The fighter made his UFC debut back in 2017 against Andre Fili on July 29 at UFC 214. He fought as a replacement for Doo Ho Choi and won the fight via unanimous decision.

Shortly after the debut, Kattar got his first Fight of the Night award bonus by knocking out undefeated challenger Shane Burgos at UFC 220. Throughout his professional career, Kattar has won 22 fights and lost 5 of them. Out of those victories, 11 were achieved via Knockout which makes Kattar a very good knockout artist.

Is Calvin Kattar dating anyone?

Other than fighting and being in the training camp for the upcoming fight, Calvin Kattar spends most of his time hanging out with friends and going on vacations with family members. Kattar is unmarried and is currently single, or at least there is no information available about his partner. According to the reports, right now the UFC fighter is not seeing anybody and spends most of his time in training and doesn’t have any plans to marry anytime soon.

Other than that, Kattar had once shared the picture of Colombian model/entrepreneur Valeria Orshini in his Instagram account. Kattar captioned the post by jokingly asking Orshini to marry him in the future.
