Darren Till is having the time of his life in Sweden, Stockholm. Thanks to the UFC superstar Khamzat Chimaev and his crazy training sessions in the gym. The UFC middleweight believes Chimaev’s crazy mentality is what he needs right now to help him get back on track.
Former UFC title contender Darren Till has not had the best of runs in his recent times inside the octagon. The fighter is currently 1-3 since 2019 and was in desperate need of motivation to get out of the losing skid. Till surprised everyone when he partnered with the rising superstar Khamzat Chimaev to train at the AllStars gym in Stockholm, Sweden.
Recently Till sat down with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto and spoke about his recent experience. “I got the feeling he’s a lot like me. No bullsh*t. He’s just a guy who trains hard and is a little bit crazy,” said Till talking to ESPN reporter. Khamzat and Darren had been in touch with their online banter. “I came in with my tail between my legs and I’m loving every single second of my life right now.”
Darren Till says Derek Brunson loss affected him

After more than one year of a hiatus since his loss against Robert Whittaker at UFC Fight Night 174 in 2020, Till returned to the octagon against top middleweight contender Derek Brunson at UFC Vegas 36. The Liverpool fighter lost in a devastating fashion as he was submitted in the third round making it two losses in a row. Till is now 18-4-1 as a professional MMA fighter.
Till says he needed a change of energy and motivation after the loss to Brunson so he reached out to Khamzat and also decided to collaborate with Crypto company, BlockAsset. “After that Derek fight, I was looking at myself in the mirror and it wasn’t me, I wasn’t Darren Till. He [Khamzat ]fully believes he is going to smash every guy and make money. And you need to be around that sh*t. Trust me,” said Till.
Darren and Khamzat have been very active on social media to share their training sessions with the fans. The official page of BlockAsset on YouTube and Twitter has been posting clips and vlogs of the two fighters.
