With a division so competitive there is no shortage of challenges, the top girl on the roster in Carla Esparza, the former champion is now on an impressive win streak and she is waiting for her title rematch for long enough. Esparza is now in a spot where she believes she can sit out and wait for her chance.

UFC president Dana White told her it wasn’t a good decision to wait out for her turn, he said, “I don’t ever agree with that, you’ve seen what happens in the past. When you sit out and try and wait for a title fight, it usually doesn’t happen. Stuff never falls the way that it’s supposed to, and you end up sitting out for too long, and people start to forget about you, and it’s never a wise decision to just sit out. If you get offered a fight, you should take it.”
